Norwegian Elkhound

Thousands of years ago, people depended on hunting in order to survive, for meat, hide, and bones for food, clothes and tools. Dogs also depended on hunting and collaboration was discovered early.

Through the centuries, humans and dogs have been able to survive the long, harsh winters in the high north by developing a working relationship. This continues to this day, and although the immediate necessity for hunting has decreased, the passion lives on.
